Sonny Chiba Dead - 'Kill Bill' Actor Dies of COVID-19 Complications
Sonny Chiba has sadly passed away after battling COVID-19.
The Japanese martial arts star and Kill Bill actor died at the age of 82 on Thursday (August 19), his agent and manager confirmed to Variety.
Chiba was best known for playing Hattori Hanzo in Quentin Tarantino‘s Kill Bill: Volume 1 and Volume 2 and for playing Yakuza boss Kamata in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.

His team confirmed that he died this week from COVID complications.
Sonny hasn’t acted in quite a few years, but he will be seen in the upcoming movie Bond of Justice: Kizuna, which is scheduled to be released in October.
