Pink's Father, Jim Moore, Dies After Cancer Battle

Pink‘s father, Jim Moore, has sadly died.

The father of the 41-year-old “Get This Party Started” superstar passed away on Thursday (August 26) following a battle with prostate cancer, Page Six confirmed Friday (August 27).

“Til forever,” Pink captioned black-and-white photos of her and Jim slow dancing together, both when she was a child and at her wedding to Carey Hart in 2006.

Days before the news of his death, Pink also shared a photo of them performing “I Have Seen the Rain” in New York City back in April of 2006, captioning it: “Daddy-Sir.”

If you didn’t know, Jim wrote the ballad while serving in Vietnam. It is featured as a hidden track on her album, I’m Not Dead. She used to go with her father to Veterans’ centers and sing it with him, and it was the first song she ever learned and performed.

Last year, Pink said on social media that Jim finished his second round of chemotherapy for prostate cancer.

Jim is survived by his wife, Grace Lilleg Moore, and his children, Pink and Jason Moore, as well as four grandchildren including Pink’s daughter, Willow, 10, and son, Jameson, 4.
