According to NBCUniversal’s Dan Lovinger, the channel is seeing some sponsors “agree to pay as much as $6.5 million for them, along with a similar investment in other NBC inventory.”

The price is even more than anticipated, as NBC was working to sell Super Bowl ads for between $5.8 million and $6.2 million earlier in the year.

“We have seen demand exceed our remaining inventory,” he said during a press call.

CBS sought around $5.5 million for a 30-second spot in 2021′s Super Bowl, facing some challenges with movie studios pulling back ads amid the pandemic.

NBC also said there is interest in buying spots from new categories, like marketers of cryptocurrencies and digital wallet.
