The board, which includes Natalie Portman, Jessica Chastain and Reese Witherspoon, was dissolved amid internal crisis and controversy.

Tina Tchen, the former president and CEO, who formerly served as chief of staff for Michelle Obama, resigned due to the attention around her reported connections to Andrew Cuomo‘s controversy, who just stepped down amid sexual assault allegations.

Only four of the 22 governing board members are expected to stay for a transitional period.

Board members included Janelle Monae, Brie Larson, Tessa Thompson, Padma Lakshmi, Laura Dern, America Ferrera, Kerry Washington, Tarana Burke, Alyssa Milano, Gretchen Carlson, Amy Schumer and Julianne Moore.

Nina Shaw, a Time’s Up cofounder, notified the members via email that the advisory board — formally called the Global Leadership Board — had been dissolved.

“This is notice to you that effective immediately, Time’s Up has dissolved the Global Leadership Board. There is no need for your individual resignations, as the group no longer exists,” the email declared.

Several A-listers had resigned from the board earlier in the month a well.
