Lorde Steps Out in a Jeweled Crown For the Met Gala 2021

Lorde is stepping out in style!

The 24-year-old “Solar Power” superstar arrived in a gorgeous white dress at the 2021 Met Gala held on Monday (September 13) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

Her custom Bode gown featured some amazing details, with small plastic charms, pennies and gems sewn into the fabric. She paired the dress with white leather slip on shoes and a jeweled crown.

Lorde told host Keke Palmer that she had worked with “repurposed antiques” from Bode to create the look.

The annual Costume Institute Gala is the fashion world’s equivalent of the Oscars and the event is usually held on the first Monday of May, but it was postponed until September 2021 due to the pandemic. The theme this year is “In America” and there will be a two-part exhibit with the second part debuting at next year’s Met Gala.
