Amanda Bynes' Lawyer Explains Status of Her Conservatorship

Amanda Bynes‘ conservatorship is making headlines.

A status report of the 35-year-old star was filed and approved with the California court with the next update scheduled for January of 2023, People reported, leading some outlets to report that it was “extended.”

“Her conservatorship is not extended through March 2023. It is open day to day. A status report regarding her health and welfare was recently filed and approved by the court. By law, the next status report is due in two years. Her conservatorship will terminate when it is no longer convenient for Amanda,” he clarified.

Amanda‘s mom Lynn was granted temporary conservatorship in 2013 after she reportedly set fire to a driveway, and her mother regained conservatorship in October of 2014.

In April, her lawyer gave a status update about Amanda Bynes just ahead of her birthday.
