The Boss Baby: Family Business

The hilarious sequel to the original animated Boss Baby film, The Boss Baby: Family Business is available on blu-ray, 4K, and digital now!

The new film picks up years after the first one where the Templetons are now all grown up. Tim has a family of his own and original Boss Baby Ted is now a successful business man, too busy to spend time with his extended family. It’s here we find out that Tim’s daughter, Tina, is an undercover BabyCorp agent on a mission to stop and infiltrate an evil private school that’s brainwashing kids. Tina enlists her father and Uncle Ted, with the help of a magical elixir, to spy on the new school where they find out things are not what they appear to be.

Reprising his role, Alec Baldwin is back voicing Ted, while James Marsden lends his voice for the adult Tim.

As usual for digital animated films the Blu-ray transfer is impeccable and the various colorful scenes really pop in this film. Extras include an all new original short “Precious Templeton: A Pony Tale” based off the sassy mini-pony featured in the main film. Other extras include a gag reel, deleted scenes, and a few drawing tutorials.

The film has plenty of nods to the original and has the same level of antics and hilarity. Alec Baldwin‘s voice work is always delight to hear and there’s plenty to like here especially if you have a family. For fans of the first one, this is a recommended pickup.
