Katy Perry Recalls 'Insane' Early Days of Motherhood to Daughter Daisy

Katy Perry is opening up about motherhood!

The 36-year-old singer met up with Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King as part of their “Joy Ride” tour on Oprah Daily where she recalled the “insane” early days of motherhood shortly after welcoming daughter Daisy.

“It’s everything I was looking for,” Katy shared with Oprah and Gayle as they did some shopping at the Santa Barbara baby boutique Chicken Little. “I climbed all the mountains and then I found the view.”

If you didn’t know, Gayle will soon be a first-time grandma, as her daughter Kirby is currently pregnant. While they shopped at the store, Katy shared some tips and tricks that helped her shortly after giving birth to Daisy in August 2020.

“The first six weeks after giving birth is a total surprise,” Katy said. “Your body is feeling insane. You are sleepless. Can I just tell you what was the most success with sleep?”

She then showed off her swaddling expertise, using a SwaddleMe on a stuffed animal.

Katy then shared another tip about baby clothes.

“We ain’t got no time for ties,” Katy joked after Oprah picked up an outfit with bowties. “I mean, you guys do what you want, but [if] you wanna learn the hard way…”
