Ryan Phillippe Shares His Thoughts On His Kids Watching 'Cruel Intentions'

Ryan Phillippe doesn’t exactly want his kids to see his hit movie Cruel Intentions.

In a new interview, the 47-year-old actor admitted that he isn’t pushing for his kids, Ava, 22, and Deacon, 17, to watch his R-rated cult classic movie, that made him and their mom, Reese Witherspoon, huge stars.

“You know, I haven’t checked back in with them about it now that they’re both of age,” Ryan told E! News. “I don’t know if it would be creepy for them, you know? In some ways, like if I were to think about watching my parents do some of the things that their parents do in that movie, it wouldn’t be the most appetizing or appealing notion.”

In Cruel Intentions, Ryan and Reese, 45, play toxic love interests. The movie was released in 1999, the same year they got married. They divorced in 2007.

Thanks to YouTube, Ryan is pretty sure that Ava and Deacon have seen a few scenes of Cruel Intentions.

“You know what, I know that they’ve seen clips and things like on social media, that’s for sure, but I don’t know if they’ve actually watched the movie,” Ryan continued. “I think it would embarrass me a little bit, you know, I still believe it very much holds up, but, it was really racy. It was really an R rated movie, heavy R.”

In a recent interview, Reese revealed if Ava has plans on following in her parents’ footsteps and getting into acting.
