Gillian Anderson's Answer to This Question at Emmys 2021 Goes Viral

A 2021 Emmy Awards moment involving one of the night’s winners, Gillian Anderson, is going viral over how she handled a question she was asked.

If you don’t know, Gillian won the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for playing Margaret Thatcher on Netflix’s The Crown.

During a press conference after she won, Gillian was asked if she had “talked to [Thatcher] about [the] role at all.”

Well, the former Prime Minister passed away in 2013 at the age of 87.

Gillian did not point out the reporter’s mistake. Instead, she responded with, “Well, I have not spoken to Margaret.”
