Daniel Craig Explains Why He Doesn't Think a Woman Should Play James Bond

The 53-year-old actor, who will make his final appearance as James Bond in No Time to Die, wants to see women get their own iconic roles.

“There should simply be better parts for women and actors of lour. Why should a woman play James Bond when there should be a part just as good as James Bond, but for a woman?” Daniel told Radio Times.

The film series’ producer Barbara Broccoli previously said a similar statement back in 2019.

“We have to make movies about women and women’s stories but we have to create female characters and not just for a gimmick turn a male character into a woman,” she said on Good Morning Britain.
