Daniel Craig Regrets His 2015 Quote Saying He'd Rather Slit His Wrists Than Play 007 Again

Daniel Craig went viral in 2015 for an interview quote where he was asked if he would play James Bond again after wrapping 2015′s 007 movie Spectre.

In his famous quote, Daniel responded, “I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.” He then went on to say that ff he did take on the role again, “it would only be for the money.”

Now, in 2021, Daniel was asked about that quote, which went viral at the time.

Daniel told RadioTimes recently about that quote, “To be completely honest, I was thinking, ‘I don’t know if I can do another one of these.’ I finished filming Spectre with a broken leg. To your point about being in my fifties now, I thought, ‘Do I have this in me? Do I want to go through all of this?’ I needed a break.”

He then said about the content of his quote, “A little more skill in the answer might have been better. I was joking but it came across as ungrateful.”

Daniel ended up signing on for another Bond film, No Time to Die, which will be released on October 8, 2021.

If you missed it, you won’t believe how much money Daniel Craig is making for Knives Out.
