Olivia Rodrigo and Morgan Wallen are racing to the top.

The 18-year-old “Good 4 U” singer and the 28-year-old “Cover Me Up” country star are vying for the biggest album of 2021, Hits Daily Double reported Friday (September 24).

And according to the publication, there’s not much separating the two in terms of sales – less than 380,000 units separates them at the moment.

Olivia Rodrigo‘s SOUR is currently at No. 2, following Morgan‘s Dangerous: The Double Album.

Morgan‘s album has earned more than 2.6 million to date, while SOUR, released four months later, has 2.2 million, “and is outpacing Dangerous by at least 10k week over week.”

There are still 15 weeks left in the year, which means either one could take the crown – plus, there are the constant rumors and rumblings of returns from heavyweight superstars, like long-delayed releases from Adele and Rihanna.
