'The Crown' Season 5 Finally Gets a Premiere Date for 2022

It has been nearly a year since the release of The Crown season four, but fans will have to wait a lot longer for the release of season five.

Netflix just announced the premiere date for the upcoming season of the hit series, which just won 11 Emmy Awards this week, including Outstanding Drama Series.

The show will have a new cast for season five, led by Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth, Dominic West as Prince Charles, and Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana.

The premiere date for season five was revealed on Saturday (September 25) during Netflix’s Tudum global fan event.

“I will do my utmost to maintain the very high standard that they set,” she said. “Hopefully I look calm, collected and capable. My stomach, meanwhile, is doing somersaults.”
