Netflix Announces New 'On My Block' Spinoff 'Freeridge'

On My Block is getting a spinoff!

According to THR, the creative team behind the comedy series will be returning for a new show called Freeridge.

The spinoff will be set in the same L.A. town of Freeridge that appears in On My Block and will focus on a new set of friends who “may or may not have unleashed a deadly curse kicking off an unforgettable adventure.”

“While this chapter is closing for our OG squad this October as they reach the end of high school, we are excited to bring a brand new cast of characters and stories to life in this On My Block spinoff,” Netflix comedy head Tracey Pakosta said in a statement.

It was announced back in January that On My Block would not be returning after its fourth season, which is set to premiere on October 4, 22.
