Miley Cyrus to Team Up with Lorne Michaels for New Year's Eve Special (Report)

Miley Cyrus has an exciting new project in the works!

Vulture writes that the “Midnight Sky” singer is reportedly teaming up with Lorne Michaels for a New Year’s Eve special to ring in 2022.

The outlet adds that nothing is ready to be announced as of now, but that sources say the show is a multi-hour, multi-city event including musical performances from a number of artists.

It also has yet to be decided whether Miley‘s show will take place in New York, as is typical for New Year’s TV shows.

Lorne is attached as an executive producer for the project, but is not expected to act as a showrunner for the special.

Vulture adds that the move is seemingly an attempt to take on ABC’s New Year’s Eve special, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest, which boasts consistently high ratings and was the top rated entertainment show last season.
