LCD Soundsystem Returns With 20-Date Residency in NYC!

LCD Soundsystem is back!

The “Daft Punk Is Playing at My House” band revealed on Friday (October 1) that they will return to the stage for the first time in over three years with a 20-date residency.

The group will be playing at Brooklyn Steel for a 20-date residency, kicking off on November 23 and running through December 21.

Ticket pre-sales begin on Wednesday (October 6), with the general on-sale happening Friday (October 8). Click here for all of the ticket info!

American Express® Card Members have access to presale tickets for every date of the LCD Soundsystem Brooklyn Steel residency beginning Tuesday (October 5) at 10 a.m. ET through Thursday (October 7) at 10 p.m. ET.

Tickets for December 13, 15 and 16 will be on sale exclusively to American Express Card Members during the AMEX Presale, October 5 at 10 a.m. ET through October 7 at 10 p.m. ET.

The news is especially a surprise, given that leader James Murphy said that band was on “full hiatus” earlier this year.

“Right now, we’re on a full hiatus. Because of the nature of the band, when we’re not touring, we’re just, like, back to normal life completely… Everyone does other stuff. Everyone has their own things going on. So for us to put [a new album] together, we just kind of have to decide to do it,” he said on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast.

LCD Soundsystem’s last studio album, American Dream, was released in 2017.
