BMG will become “a partner in all of Tina Turner’s music interests,” they said in a statement of the deal, which can use her likeness for brand partnership, merchandising and sponsorship usages, calling it the single largest artist acquisition ever.

The deal includes 10 studio albums, including Private Dancer and Break Every Rule, two live albums, two soundtracks and five compilations.

Warner Music will remain her record company, maintaining its share of her records held since she began her solo career in the early ’80s.

“Like any artist, the protection of my life’s work, my musical inheritance, is something personal. I am confident that with BMG and Warner Music my work is in professional, reliable hands,” she said in a statement.

“We are honored to take on the job of managing Tina Turner’s musical and commercial interests. It is a responsibility we take seriously and will pursue diligently. She is truly and simply, the best,” said BMG CEO Hartwig Masuch.
