Jesy Nelson Reveals If She's Spoken to Little Mix Bandmates, Gives More Insight Into Why She Had to Leave the Group
Jesy Nelson is opening up about leaving Little Mix and her relationship with her former bandmates – Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock – today.
If you don’t remember, in December 2020, Jesy released a statement revealing she was leaving the girl group.
Now, she’s giving a new interview where she explained if she’s in contact with her bandmates and giving more insight into her departure.

“I haven’t spoken to the girls,” Jesy told Glamour UK. “It is weird because for so many years we were as close as sisters, together every hour of the day for weeks, sharing beds, laughing, crying just 24/7 the four of us together and then… Nothing.”
She was asked if she’s seen the new babies of the group after moms Perrie and Leigh-Anne gave birth. “No. I’ve sent a few texts, but that’s it. I can’t explain it, it’s like there has to be this distance. We were so close so you can’t do in-between, there has to be space and hopefully…” she said . “Hopefully at some point in the future we can all come back together. I love them. They are my sisters in so many ways, but for the time being we just don’t talk.”
Before her departure from the group, the band endured COVID like the rest of the world before regrouping and releasing new music in November of 2020.
“The return to the tyranny of the perfect girlband proved too much. She suffered panic attack after panic attack. Her concerned band mates, Perrie, Leigh-Anne and Jade went to see her beloved mum, Janice, and all agreed it was time for Jesy to leave, to put her mental health first and focus on getting well,” Glamour noted.
“They just knew that it was time for me to take a minute to deal with what I was going through and look after myself,” Jesy said. “I don’t know what to say.”
