Ellen Pompeo Reveals Season 18 of 'Grey's Anatomy' Will Have Lots of Easter Eggs

Ellen Pompeo steps out in a chic ensemble for her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday night (October 7).

The 51-year-old actress sat down for a chat with Jimmy Kimmel about the new season of Grey’s Anatomy and revealed that the fans who picked up on a subtle Easter Egg in the season premiere are on to something.

A few Grey’s fans noticed that Meredith was wearing a shirt that looked very similar to the one she wore in the series’ pilot.

“It is the same shirt,” Ellen shared, and added that “it was my idea to pay homage to many things and many different seasons and give the audience things to watch out for and to plant Easter eggs.”

The Alexandre Vauthier ensemble she wore on the show also paid homage to the series, too.
