Demi Lovato Thinks 'Aliens' is an Offensive Term for Extra Terrestrials

Demi Lovato is opening up about the term “aliens” and how they believe we need to stop using that term while talking about extra terrestrials.

For those who don’t know, the 29-year-old entertainer is currently promoting their new Peacock special Unidentified in which they seek to “uncover the truth about the UFO phenomena.”

While speaking with an Australian outlet, Demi chatted about common misconceptions that people have about UFOs and the negative stereotypes that people hold.

“I think the ones that bother me are that they’re harmful or that they’ll come and take over the planet,” Demi told Pedestrian.tv. “I really think that if there was anything out there that would want to do that to us, it would have happened by now. But I think that we have to stop calling them aliens because aliens is a derogatory term for anything. That’s why I like to call them ETs! So yeah, that’s a little tidbit. A little information that I learned.”

They added, “I think that the world is becoming a more open place. Slowly, but surely, I think that we’re making progress. And we’re slowly getting there. But, you know, any progress is progress!”

A celeb recently spoke out about feeling disrespected by a term Demi used in a recent interview.
