Judy Greer Reacts to the Shocking Ending of 'Halloween Kills' (Spoilers Ahead!)

Judy Greer is speaking out about the ending of her new movie Halloween Kills after fans were shocked by what happened in the final moments.

The new movie is now playing in theaters and it’s also streaming on Peacock for all subscribers of the streaming service.

At the end of 2018′s Halloween, Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), her daughter Karen (Greer), and her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) thought that they trapped Michael Myers and sent him to his death in their burning house. Unfortunately, he escaped thanks to some help from the fire department, who thought they were responding to an emergency.

Throughout the new film Halloween Kills, Michael is on the loose in Haddonfield and wrecking havoc on the townspeople, who are all trying to hunt him down.

By the end of the film, Judy‘s character Karen is able to lure Michael into a trap, where the townspeople gang up on him and seemingly beat him to death.

Well, he didn’t die.

Michael is clearly superhuman and he got up, killed the gang of people who tried to murder him, and then made his way to his childhood home where Karen was standing in his bedroom. The movie ends with him killing Karen in the same spot where he killed his sister Judith in 1963.

In a new interview with THR, Judy reacted to the ending of the movie.

“Well, I was bummed to see the ending. I thought it was a good idea, though,” she said. “I thought it was really beautifully written, and it felt like a dance, like an opera, kind of. But it was also a little bit of a bummer, mostly because I like to play with my friends. I learned a lot about the way that they shot that final fight scene with Michael Myers and the townspeople. Listening to [director] David [Gordon Green] talk about it was really interesting, and it was cool to watch it knowing technically how they did it and how they made it look so special. So I watch it now and I’m in awe of our crew.”

Andi, who plays Allyson, added, “I was gutted in a lot of ways. (Laughs.) Especially because you almost have three finales back to back to back. You feel like you get out unscathed, you feel like you get out triumphant, and then you get crushed in a lot of regards. It’s a really beautiful ending in a lot of ways, and I agree with Judy. It’s, unfortunately, the right move, which sucks, but they really made it pretty poetic and pretty powerful.”
