Salma Hayek & Kumail Nanjiani Reveal How Their Parents Reacted to Their 'Eternals' Casting

Salma Hayek and Kumail Nanjiani are teaming up for an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The pair were spotted heading into the studio on Thursday (October 14) in Los Angeles.

During their interview, Kumail and Salma discussed their roles in the upcoming Marvel film The Eternals and revealed how their parents reacted to news of their casting.

“My dad can’t bring it up without crying. It’s like really, really adorable,” Kumail told host Jimmy Kimmel.

Salma added that her mother isn’t a huge Marvel fan but still appreciates how special her daughter’s role in the film is.

“She does understand though the importance of being a Latina, middle-aged woman and still playing an action hero. She was impressed,” the actress said.

Jimmy then showed them their Eternals action figures, with Kumail and Salma giving some notes on their plastic representations. Check out the video below!
