Stephen Baldwin Calls for 'Prayers' After Accidental Shooting on Set of Brother Alec Baldwin's Movie

Stephen Baldwin is asking for prayers after his brother Alec was involved in a tragic accident on the set of his new film Rust.

On Thursday (October 21), it was reported that Alec discharged a prop gun that accidentally killed the film’s cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and seriously injured director Joel Souza.

Stephen reacted to the news in an Instagram post shared early Friday morning.

“Asking for prayers tonight friends not much can be said other than please pray for all involved in the tragic in the wake of this tragic accident thank you 🙏🏻,” the actor wrote in the post.

He captioned the image with a purple cross emoji and added the hashtag “#Psalm91″ as well.

Producers of Rust announced last night that production on the film would be halted for an “undetermined amount of time” in the wake of Halyna‘s death.

Just hours before the tragic accident, Alec shared the first photo from the film’s set in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
