Matthew Perry Writing Autobiography About Filming 'Friends' & His Battle with Addiction

Matthew Perry has a new projects in the work.
The 52-year-old actor, best known for playing Chandler Bing on Friends, has reportedly signed a seven-figure deal to write an autobiography, Deadline reports.

In the book, Matthew “will take readers behind-the-scenes and onto the soundstage of the sitcom while opening up about his private struggles with addiction. It is set to be a candid and self-aware book told with his trademark humor, with Perry vividly detailing his lifelong battle with the disease and what fueled it despite seemingly having it all.”
Published by Flatiron Books, Matthew‘s autobiography is expected to be published some time in 2022.
Megan Lynch, a publisher of Flatiron Books, shared a statement about Matthew‘s book.
“We need humor, we need catharsis, and we need to agree on something–and Matthew’s extraordinary story, told in his inimitable voice, is that thing,” Megan said. “Matthew’s book has unrivaled potential to bring people together, which feels especially galvanizing right now, a time of isolation and division.”
In a recent interview, Matthew‘s Friends co-star Jennifer Aniston revealed if she has plans on writing a memoir one day.
