Greg Kinnear Will Finally Make Broadway Debut in 'To Kill a Mockingbird,' 20 Months After Planned Start Date

Greg Kinnear will finally get his moment in the spotlight on Broadway!

The 58-year-old actor will be making his Broadway debut next year in the Tony-winning play To Kill a Mockingbird.

Greg will play the lead role of Atticus Finch, taking over for Tony-nominated actor Jeff Daniels, who returned to the production when performances resumed after the Broadway shutdown ended. He was originally supposed to join the cast of the play back in April 2020, but his run was postponed due to the pandemic. 20 months later, he will finally take the stage!

It was announced that Greg will join the play on January 5, 2022, following Jeff‘s departure on January 2.

To Kill a Mockingbird, which was adapted for the stage by Aaron Sorkin, holds the title of the most successful American play in Broadway history. The production has amassed a total gross of more than $125,000,000 and continues to play to standing-room-only houses.

The U.S. national tour of To Kill a Mockingbird, starring Richard Thomas, kicks off on March 27, 2022. London’s West End production of the play, starring Rafe Spall, begins performances on March 10, 2022.
