Jennifer Lawrence Fangirled Like a 'Contest Winner' for 'Don't Look Up' Co-Star Ariana Grande

Jennifer Lawrence is an Ariana Grande fan!

The 31-year-old Don’t Look Up actress opened up at a screening in front of an audience of BAFTA voters at Harmony Gold Theatre on Wednesday (November 17) about meeting the Sweetener singer, who is also now her co-star.

Producer Adam McKay talked about the movie’s original song, “Just Look Up,” was written with Ariana Grande and Kid Cudi, who also have roles in the film.

“You have to write the song to save all of mankind,” he said of the track.

“It might be my favorite moment in the movie. The No. 1 pop star in the world telling us, ‘We’re all going to die, get your head out of your ass.’”

Jennifer then gushed: “She can’t make bad music. I’ve since reflected on my behavior with Ariana Grande,” she said.

“I went full radio contest winner. I was so excited and nervous that at one point, I just kind of walked into her hotel room and sat down,” she continued.

“I’ve just been thinking about it a lot lately. There were all of these trunks for her hair and makeup, and I was like, ‘Do you live here?’”

Don’t Look Up will open on December 10 in theaters before releasing on Netflix on December 17. Watch the trailer, and Jennifer‘s reaction!
