Johnny Depp & Amber Heard's High Profile Divorce Will Be Subject Of Discovery+ Docuseries

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard‘s divorce will be the subject of a new Discovery+ docuseries, it was announced this weekend.

The two episode event will breakdown of the marriage between the two actors, as well as shed more light onto their ongoing legal battle. They have been in and out of court throughout the past few years.

In the release for the programming, via People, it reads that each episode will be told from both of their sides of the story.

Johnny vs Amber will feature testimony from lawyers for both stars, as well as people close to the pair. Footage and audio recordings filmed by the former couple will also be a part of the program.

“Through the tapes, home videos and text messages shown in court, these films give viewers a rare and important insight into a marriage that went tragically wrong, and to better understand the hugely important issue of domestic violence,” Nick Hornby, producer, shared in a statement.

Amber filed for divorce from Johnny in 2016 and later accused him of domestic violence, which he has repeatedly denied. Their divorce was finalized in 2017, with Amber receiving a $7 million settlement, that she was said to donate to domestic violence organizations.

Johnny and Amber are currently back in court, with him battling her for defamation after she wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post in 2018 about surviving domestic violence.
