Ruth Negga Reveals the Surprising Thing She & Daniel Craig Bonded Over While Working on 'Macbeth'

Ruth Negga is dishing on her relationship with her Macbeth co-star Daniel Craig!

The 39-year-old actress stopped by the show to discuss her new show Passing and also shared the surprising thing she and Daniel bonded over while they were working on the play.

“He’s one of the soundest people I’ve ever met,” Ruth said when host Jimmy Fallon mentioned that Daniel had recently made an appearance on the show.

She went on to say that they’d been rehearsing for a few weeks and shared that they had bonded over “pencil sharpeners,” which are also known as “parers” in Ireland.

When Jimmy looked confused, she added: “He loves a good pencil parer… It’s very satisfying, isn’t it?”

Jimmy remarked that now most pencil sharpeners are electric which Ruth called “exciting.”

When that drew laughs from the audience, she joked, “I just ruined Daniel Craig‘s reputation as the coolest man in the world.”
