Stars Who Regret Their Movie & TV Roles

Megan Fox

Megan Fox, Transformers

Megan had a long journey with her Transformers experience, and has mixed thoughts about getting fired from the franchise after speaking out about director Michael Bay‘s directing style, who she compared to Hitler.

“That was absolutely the low point of my career. But without, ‘that thing,’ I wouldn’t have learned as quickly as I did. All I had to do was apologize, and I refused. I was so self-righteous at 23, I couldn’t see [that] it was for the greater good. I really thought I was Joan of Arc,” she reflected to Cosmopolitan UK.

“He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he’s not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he’s so awkward, so hopelessly awkward. He has no social skills at all,” she had previously said of the director.

Paul Newman

Paul Newman, The Silver Chalice

According to reports, Paul absolutely hated the movie, calling it “the worst motion picture produced during the 1950s.”

Newman hated the film, and when the movie premiered on television in the 1960s, he went so far as to take out an ad in a trade publication in which he not only apologized for his wooden performance but also urged viewers not to watch it,” the Daily Press reported.
