Valerie Bertinelli Files for Legal Separation from Husband Tom Vitale

It looks like Valerie Bertinelli and Tom Vitale are splitting up.

The 61-year-old actress and Food Network star filed for legal separation from her husband after 10 years of marriage.

According to People, Valerie filed the documents with the Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday (November 24).

In the documents, Valerie cites “irreconcilable differences” between she and Tom as the reason for the separation. As of now, she has not filed for a dissolution of marriage.

The court records also state that Valerie and Tom have a prenup, which they are adhering to.

Valerie and Tom married in January 2011 after several years of dating.

Before marrying Tom, Valerie was married to Eddie Van Halen from 1981 until 2007. They are parents to 30-year-old son Wolfgang.

Eddie sadly passed away in October 2020 from lung cancer.
