Michelle Young is opening up about her life off-screen!

On Tuesday night (November 23), the 28-year-old star appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! where she talked about balancing her life on The Bachelorette while also being a fifth grade teacher.

“Honestly, I feel like, at the beginning, just in the school year, I was very clear with [separating] academics and [my] personal life,” Michelle shared. “My classroom, my kids, everybody — families [and] coworkers — have been super supportive and respectful of that.”

Michelle also admitted that she still hasn’t fully grasped her newfound stardom as a reality TV star, joking with Jimmy that she was “just grading papers” before her interview.

As for what she’s looking for in a man, Michelle said, “I need a man in my life who can help me grade papers and lesson plan, so maybe that’s a really good run-through with that!”

She also joked about the fantasy suites on The Bachelorette, saying, “Two things I try not to think of is, which students are potentially watching those episodes and my dad and thinking about that.”
