We’re less than a week away from the premiere of And Just Like That… and the showrunner is sharing some new details about how the show will be handling Willie Garson‘s death.

“Nobody’s dead,” Michael shared with The New York Times, addressing rumors that Chris Noth‘s character Big or Kim Cattrall‘s character Samantha Jones might have been killed off in the revival.

He also noted that the show chose not to write Willie‘s death into the show.

“Because it wasn’t charming,” Michael explained. “And I knew that the audience would know.”

And Just Like That… was in the middle of filming when Willie passed away in September after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 57.

In the new trailer for the show, Willie‘s character Stanford makes a brief appearance alongside Sarah Jessica Parker‘s Carrie Bradshaw.

And Just Like That… will be premiering on HBO Max on Thursday, December 9.
