Jay Jay Phillips has sadly died.

The America’s Got Talent Season 4 superstar passed away at age 30 due to complications related to COVID-19, family confirmed to TMZ on Friday (December 3).

A family member told the outlet he was battling the disease at home over Thanksgiving week, and while they were checking in with him over the phone, he took a turn for the worse one day before the holiday.

They urged him to go to the hospital, but he insisted he needed more sleep, and that was sadly the last they spoke to him.

Jay Jay‘s girlfriend and her nurse mom went to check on him Thanksgiving Day (November 25) and found him dead.

He was not vaccinated according to family sources, but reportedly started to tell people he planned on getting the shot soon.

His dad, who he lived with, is currently hospitalized and fighting for his life on a ventilator.

Jay Jay starred in both Season 4 and Season 12 of the hit show, making a name for himself with his big hair and rocker skills.
