Jennifer accepted the Actress Award for her performance in the Aretha Franklin biopic Respect, while Halle took home the Career Achievement Award.

Other honorees included Anthony Anderson, who was awarded the Producer Award for Television, and Barry Jenkins, who received the Director Award for Television for his work on The Underground Railroad.
Niecy Nash hosted the show and was joined on the carpet by her wife Jessica Betts.
Tracee Ellis Ross, Ava DuVernay, Deon Cole, Patina Miller, Kenny Leon, Danielle Brooks, Ruth Negga, Rebecca Hall, Brett Goldstein, Toheeb Jimoh, Larry Wilmore and Rebecca Hall were also spotted celebrating at the star-studded event.
