Kristin Davis & Cynthia Nixon Reveal 'And Just Like That' Filmed Fake Scenes to Prevent Spoilers

Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are confirming a huge rumor about And Just Like That!

The pair appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to discuss the upcoming Sex and the City reboot, which is set to drop this week on HBO Max.

During their interview, they were asked whether it was true they had shot fake scenes for the series in order to confuse fans about the plot.

The cast has been filming for the show in New York City over the course of five months, with many fans trying to figure out spoilers based on the paparazzi photos taken during production.

“There is so much secrecy around this,” Stephen asked the actresses. “Do you worry about spoilers?”

“We worry constantly,” Cynthia replied, with Kristin agreeing.

“There are rumors that you guys actually shot fake scenes around New York to throw people off the scent,” the host went on to say.

“Yes. Yes, definitely!” Kristin exclaimed as Cynthia deadpanned, “Absolutely not,” with a laugh. She then added, “It might be true.”

“We want the fans to enjoy the show,” Kristin said. “I think that’s the important part.”

Cynthia explained further, “We don’t want them to know — we don’t want them to read the Cliff Notes beforehand.”
