Billboard is estimating that Adele generated more than $50 million in ticket sales for her 24-show run at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. This averages out to around $2.2 million per show. In comparison, Celine Dion brought in an average of $539,000 in ticket sales for each show in her A New Day residency and $654,000 for each show in her Celine residency, both at the same venue.
The venue has 4,200 seats and the actual prices for those tickets were not revealed until fans were able to sign onto Ticketmaster for the Verified Fan presale.
Billboard reports that tickets in the front section started at $860 a ticket (including the Ticketmaster fee) and tickets in the front of the upper balcony started at $600 (including the fee). Only a handful of $85 tickets were reportedly available for each show.
The report says that about 1% of the tickets were priced at more than $5,000 as part of the platinum seating program. It was also reported that Ticketmaster and the venue brought in about $600,000 in ticket fees for each show.
Adele hit another big feat this week!
