Olivia Rodrigo Explains Why She's Only Performing at Small Venues on the 'Sour Tour'

Olivia Rodrigo is preparing to head out on the road for her Sour Tour, which sold out very quickly right after it went on sale on Friday.

The 18-year-old singer is only playing small venues along the road, despite there being a huge demand for tickets. Even though Olivia probably could’ve sold out arenas across the U.S., she decided to play theaters and small amphitheaters instead.

This is going to be Olivia‘s first-ever tour and she explained to the Los Angeles Times that she doesn’t want to rush her career forward.

“I don’t think I should skip any steps,” Olivia said.

Olivia also commented on how she will be performing with an all-female band.

“It’s all girls,” she said. “Six girls on electric guitars and things, rocking out on this super-crunchy grunge song — I feel like I didn’t get to see enough of that when I was a kid.”
