Jana Duggar's Cousin Amy Defends Her After She's Charged with Endangering a Child

Jana Duggar‘s cousin Amy Duggar King is coming to her defense after it was confirmed the former 19 Kids and Counting star had been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

According to People, Jana received a child endangerment citation on Sept. 9 and pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The court documents did not provide any additional information about circumstances surrounding the citation.

Amy shared a post to her Instagram Story on Sunday that read: “I will call out what is right and I will call out what is wrong. This couldn’t have been intentional.”

“I bet you were exhausted, stressed and just emotionally worn out,” she continued. “Watching multiple kids is hard! Bc there’s so many of them and you only have two eyes!! It’s a very sad situation going on and my heart goes out to @janamduggar love you.”

Amy went on to say that “the child was ok and found,” but did not offer any additional information.

Jana is set to appear in court on Jan. 10, 2022.
