Chris Martin Says Coldplay Will Release Their Final Album in 2025

Chris Martin is hinting at the end of Coldplay.

In a new interview, the 44-year-old musician revealed that his band may be done making albums.

“Well I know I can tell you, our last proper record will come out in 2025 and after that I think we will only tour,” Chris shared with Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2.

He added, “Maybe we’ll do some collaborative things, but the Coldplay catalog, as it were, finishes then.”

Coldplay released their debut album, Parachutes, back in 2000. If they do drop their final album in 2025, it will mark the band’s 25th anniversary.

Over the years, Coldplay has released nine studio albums, with their most recent album, Music of the Spheres, being released back in October 2021.

In March 2022, Coldplay will kick off their Music of the Spheres World Tour. The last time they toured was back in 2017 on their A Head Full of Dreams Tour.
