Hit Songs That the Artists Now Regret

Becky G, “Break a Sweat”

While the superstar doesn’t necessarily hate the hit song, Becky G is completely mortified by the accompanying music video.

“Basically, in the music video, I think there’s a part where I look like a Chipotle burrito. I hated one of the outfits so much. I had this hood on, and I had these weird glasses on. And the director was like, ‘Make sure you keep the hood up!; And it was, like, so tight. I literally looked like a Chipotle burrito, it was terrible. I’m crying because I’ve never admitted that out loud, and the only person who knows that is my mom. Cause I actually cried about it. I was so young, I did not have any clue what was going on,” she told Delish.

Lorde, “Royals”

Lorde doesn’t necessarily hate her Grammy Award-winning hit, but she definitely doesn’t think it represents her best work as an artist.

“I understand why it worked and why it was kind of a hit, I can see those qualities in it, but at the same time there’s part of me that’s likeā€¦” she groans, “‘these melodies are just not as good as something I could have written now’, or like ‘I definitely wouldn’t have written this lyric this way if I had’ve written it now’…It definitely feels like a bit of a relic now,” she admitted to Seventeen.
