Sutton Foster Tests Positive for COVID-19, Will Miss 'The Music Man' Performances

Sutton Foster missed the fourth-ever performance of Broadway’s The Music Man revival last night and she has revealed that she tested positive for COVID-19.
The two-time Tony-winning actress will likely be out of the show for two weeks now while she quarantines and recovers from the virus, giving her understudy Kathy Voytko the chance to shine.
Sutton praised Kathy in her statement, revealing how she performed on Thursday night with just hours notice.

“Yesterday I tested positive for COVID. At noon Kathy Voytko found out. And last night she went on for Marian Paroo and smashed it,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories on Friday afternoon (December 24).
Sutton continued, “Grateful to Kathy and our incredible company. Grateful to all swings and understudies who keep all the shows going, now and always.”
After the performance on Thursday, the show’s star Hugh Jackman gave a speech to praise the swings and understudies on Broadway.
