'Spider-Man: No Way Home' Is the First Pandemic Era Movie to Break $1 Billion Global Mark

Spider-Man: No Way Home just keeps getting bigger.

The movie became the first pandemic era film to cross the $1 billion mark at the global box office as of Sunday (December 26), Variety reported.

The movie hit the milestone after 12 days, tying with Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2015 as the third-fastest film to hit the billion dollar mark.

Only Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame hit the mark faster, in eleven and five days respectively.

The movie is now the first since 2019’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker to surpass $1 billion globally, which is especially impressive given the ongoing pandemic.

It also notched another big achievement for Sony!
