Surprise: Cheer is coming back!

The hit show’s second season is set to return in January of 2022 on Netflix, the streamer revealed on Tuesday (December 28).

The show will return on January 12, according to Variety.

The docuseries follows the cheerleading team from Navarro College.

Season 1 premiered in January 2020, featuring Navarro coach Monica Aldama and members of her team.

The show was a hit, and the stars of the show went on to enjoy great success, appearing on talk shows and becoming social media celebs.

Cheerleader Jerry Harris was shockingly arrested for multiple federal sexual misconduct charges later in the year, including soliciting child pornography.

The trailer for the second season shows his teammates and their coach dealing with the aftermath of his arrest.

“I can’t even, like, process it right now,” she says in the teaser.
