'Don't Look Up' Director Explains Why Leonardo DiCaprio Didn't Want Meryl Streep to Go Nude
If you watched the end credits scene for the new Netflix movie Don’t Look Up, you know that Meryl Streep has a nude moment in the film.
Adam McKay, the film’s writer and director, is opening up about why Leonardo DiCaprio didn’t want the moment to be included in the film, even though Meryl didn’t have a problem with it.

“She is fearless,” Adam told The Guardian while chatting about Meryl. “And yes, that is a body double. But you know who had a problem with it? Leo.”
“Leo just views Meryl as film royalty … although maybe royalty is not a compliment … but as such a special figure in the history of film,” he continued. “He didn’t like seeing her with the lower back tattoo, walking for a second naked. He said something to me like: ‘Do you really need to show that?’ And I was like: ‘It’s President Orlean; it’s not Meryl Streep.’ But she didn’t even blink. She didn’t even bring it up.”
Jennifer Lawrence has reacted to the news that Leo made more money than her for the movie.
