Lionel Messi Tests Positive for Coronavirus, Must Miss French Cup Game

Lionel Messi has coronavirus, as do some of his teammates.
Three other Paris Saint-Germain players have tested positive for COVID-19 as well, the club confirmed Sunday (January 2), via Sky News.

Defender Juan Bernat, back-up goalkeeper Sergio Rico and midfielder Nathan Bitumazala also tested positive for coronavirus.
All four are currently isolating. As a result, they will miss a French Cup game against Vannes on Monday night (January 3).
Lionel Messi joined PSG from Barcelona back in August.
Should he receive a negative test soon, he may soon be available for the game against Lyon next Sunday (January 9).
