Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Permanently Suspended on Twitter

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene is suspended for good.

She (falsely) tweeted on Saturday (January 1) about “extremely high amounts of Covid vaccine deaths,” including a misleading chart that pulled data from a government database of unverified raw data.

Twitter said she had a fifth “strike,” meaning her account will not be restored. She received her fourth strike last year after falsely posting that the vaccines were “failing,” and a third for previously claiming coronavirus was not dangerous for people unless they were obese or over age 65, and that vaccines should not be required.

Her official Congressional account, @RepMTG, remains active.

“We’ve been clear that, per our strike system for this policy, we will permanently suspend accounts for repeated violations of the policy,” Twitter’s Katie Rosborough said in a statement.

Last year, Saturday Night Live mocked the Congresswoman’s stance on conspiracy theories.
