Simon Cowell tried insanely hard to help save Il Divo singer Carlos Marin.

Just before the Christmas holiday, Carlos passed away from COVID-19 complications, and according to a new report, Simon had tried to help his ailments by making an attempt to fly him to Spain for more treatment.

While speaking to press, Geraldine Larrosa, who was Carlos‘ ex-wife, said that Simon did try to get access to additional treatment before his demise.

“Simon Cowell personally phoned the hospital and offered to help with anything,” she shared in an article, as translated by Hello! “To help him, send him a plane in case they could fly [to Spain] sooner, but it was impossible. He was very sick and he would not have survived the pressure of the plane.”

After Carlos‘ passing, Simon shared a tribute to the singer on Instagram.

Many other stars have sadly died from COVID-19 complications.
