During the third quarter of the team’s game against the New York Jets, Antonio took off his jersey, ran across the field, and then threw his jersey and other equipment into the stands. He then headed into the locker room, while teammates and coaches just watched in surprise.
His team was behind the Jets 24-17 at the time of his exit.
Antonio has repeatedly made headlines over the past months: he was suspended by the NFL for three games for having a fake vaccination card last year. He also settled a lawsuit by his former trainer who had accused him of rape and sexual assault.
It’s still unclear what happened during the game at this time.
