Freddie Prinze Jr. Teases Return to Horror Movies: 'This Year It's Gonna Happen'

Freddie Prinze Jr. is ready to star in another horror movie.

The 45-year-old actor starred in the 1997 slasher film I Know What You Did Last Summer and its sequel, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, which marked his last appearance in a horror film.

On Monday (January 3), Freddie shared that he was thinking about returning to the genre.

“I’ve wanted to make another horror movie ever since IKWYDLS wrapped. Never found the right one but I think this year it’s gonna happen,” he wrote on Twitter.

When a fan then asked if he was hinting at a possible I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot, Freddie replied: “Noooooo. Something new.”

The actor met his wife Sarah Michelle Gellar on the set of the 1997 movie, and they went on to star in the Scooby-Doo franchise together.
